Hard Crop

Only a portion of the original remains — IFP still finds it

Heavy cropping is one of the most common modifications used to disguise image reuse. IFP handles crops that remove significant portions of the original image.

The structural fingerprint of the remaining content area is matched against the full registered original through geometric alignment.

Works even when most of the image is cropped away
Combined with rotation, flip, or color changes
Geometric alignment recovers the original mapping
